Privacy policy
Telwah is a falconry app and website operated by Cohort (cohort.ae) in the United Arab Emirates. We collect only what is needed to run the app and to provide a healthy environment for your falcons. This policy explains what that is, why, and what you can do about it.
What Telwah needs to work
We keep only what the app needs to work.
- Account details you give us: your name, email address, phone number and language, and the identifier Apple or Google gives us when you sign in with them. We never see your Apple or Google password.
- Your falcons' records you choose to enter: name, species, sex, age class, and every weight, rating, food amount, flight time, alert and note entered by you or your falconers.
- Falconers: which falconers you added and which owners a falconer works with.
- A device token for reminders, so weighing reminders and alerts can reach your phone.
- Technical: the IP address of requests, kept briefly in server logs and rate limits to protect the service from abuse.
- Messages you send through Send feedback in Settings.
What stays on your phone
Face ID and fingerprint data never leave your device; Telwah only asks the phone whether the check succeeded.
Your entries are also stored on the phone so the app works offline. They sync to our servers when you are online.
Why we use it
We use your data to run the app and to provide a healthy environment for your falcons, and for nothing else.
- To show your falcons and their care history on all your devices and to your falconers.
- To sync entries between you and your falconers so everyone works from the same record.
- To keep each falcon's care history — weights, ratings, food and treatments — in one place, and the records also help us improve the app.
- To send sign-in codes, weighing reminders and alert notifications.
- To keep the service secure and to answer your feedback.
How long we keep it
- Sign-in codes expire after 5 minutes. Sign-in sessions end after 30 days without use or 90 days at most.
- Falcon records are kept while your account exists.
- When you delete your account, it sleeps for 30 days: signing back in during that time restores everything exactly as it was. After 30 days your account, falcons, entries, sessions and push tokens are permanently erased, and encrypted backups age out shortly after.
- Server logs are kept for a short period for security and then discarded.
Your choices
- Change your name, phone, language and reminders in Settings at any time.
- Turn off notifications in your phone's settings or the reminder inside the app.
- Delete your account in Settings → Account → Delete account. It sleeps for 30 days before it is erased for good, so you can change your mind by signing back in.
- Ask for a copy of your data through Send feedback in Settings; we answer from the same account.
Security
Connections are encrypted and access to your data is limited to the people who run the service. Some processing, such as hosting, sending sign-in emails, delivering notifications and store billing, is carried out by service providers acting only on our instructions and bound by confidentiality. Falconers you add see only the falcons and entries of the owner who added them.
Children
Telwah is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes and contact
When this policy changes we update the date at the top and, for material changes, tell you in the app. Questions go through Send feedback in Settings, or to Cohort at cohort.ae.
